CINEMATIC DESIGN

My approach to game cinematics is rooted in an early love of film. In high school, I studied under a film teacher who had once taught Steven Spielberg, and her passion for filmmaking permanently changed the way I see movies. Although I didn’t pursue film professionally, the principles I learned (composition, pacing, framing, blocking, lighting, camera angles, and movement) continue to guide my work in interactive media.

I apply that foundation across all my game projects, from the tension-building pacing in The Star Legation to the choice-driven cinematics that punctuate its battle sequences. In my Unity ARPG work, I collaborated closely with the artist and animator to plan compositions, camera movement, and overall flow, supported by the finished voice-acted audio. In every project, my goal is to bring a filmmaker’s eye to gameplay moments, using cinematic design to deepen immersion and elevate storytelling.
